Start lower than you think

Think about an ordinary week, not the best week you've ever had. How many times did you actually get out? Set your goal there, or one notch above. Two walks that happen feel far better than five that linger as a bad memory.

Make the goal concrete. "Move more" is hard to tick off. "Three walks of at least 20 minutes" is easy to check – and just as easy to celebrate when you do it.

Give the goal a place in your week

A goal is easier to reach when it has a spot on the calendar. In Heia you can create a plan manually and put activities on the days that suit you, maybe an evening walk on Tuesday and a slightly longer loop on Sunday.

The plan is a starting point, not a contract. If you move Tuesday's walk to Wednesday, it's still the same walk.

Adjust when life shifts

Some weeks have more room than others. Holidays, a sick child, a heavy stretch at work – everyday life changes, and your goals can change with it. In Heia you can adjust your weekly goal whenever you need to, up or down.

Take a quick look back when the week is over. Did it feel easy? Raise it gently. Was it too much? Lower it without explaining yourself to anyone. What matters most is that the goal still feels like yours, and that you want to try again next week.
